Dr. Emmanuel McDonald, DO, is a board-certified gastroenterologist currently practicing at AdventHealth in Kissimmee, Florida. He completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at Larkin Community Hospital, where he served as Chief Fellow from 2022 to 2023. Prior to this, he completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Larkin Community Hospital–Palm Springs Campus, where he was honored with the role of Chief Resident for two consecutive years (2018–2020). A graduate of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. McDonald earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2017, serving as Vice President of his class and receiving the distinguished Medical Staff Scholar and Moss Scholar awards. His academic journey also includes a master’s in biomedical science from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biopsychology with a Pre-Medicine concentration from St. John’s University in Minnesota, where he was a recipient of multiple scholarships and participated in study abroad programs in Tanzania. Dr. McDonald is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Osteopathic Internists. His clinical and research interests are demonstrated through numerous case studies and presentations at national conferences, focusing on rare gastrointestinal pathologies. He is deeply committed to community service, having co-founded DOCare at WVSOM and participated in international medical missions in Guatemala and the Dominican Republic.
