The Augmented Internist (2026 AC Live)
Learning Objectives:
- Differentiate administrative from diagnostic/clinical AI — and the differing evidence, regulatory (FDA), and liability standards each requires.
- Apply an “AI-as-intervention” framework (efficacy, harms, comparator) to evaluate a tool before adopting it.
- Identify the perils of clinical AI — hallucination & non-determinism, bias at scale, and skill erosion (de-/mis-/never-skilling) — and their mitigations.
