Natalie A. Nevins, D.O., M.S.H.P.E., M.S.S., FACOFP, FS, COL USAR. Dr. Nevins is an internationally recognized physician, medical educator, author, and researcher with extensive experience in nonprofit healthcare, humanitarian aid, medical simulation training, resilience training, disaster and aviation medicine. Dr. Nevins currently serves as the Associate Dean of Graduate Medical Education, Technology, and Program Development, and Professor of Family Medicine and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine at Touro University California, College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a Senior Fellow at the Center for Disaster Medicine, and Clinical Professor of Public Health at New York Medical College. She is a COL in the Army Reserve and serves as the Command Flight Surgeon for the Army Reserve Aviation Command, and Adjunct Professor of Family Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. She is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College, and holds a Master of Science in Health Professions Education. Dr. Nevins’ awards include: Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, Outstanding Female Leader 2022 -American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the lifetime achievement award- Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of California, and the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award in 2018 and 2026. She has received the Army AMEDD "9A" Proficiency Designator, the highest recognition for professional excellence in the Army Medical Department, four Army Meritorious Service Medals, the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Operation Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Order of Aeromedical Merit, and the Order of Military Medical Merit. She is a member of several national committees including the ACGME’s inaugural Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine Residency Committee, and now serves on its Appeals Committee, a Board Member and President Elect of American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians-California Chapter, and President for the Association of Military Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.
