Neurosurgical Intensivist Specialist

I am affiliated with the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where I hold an academic appointment in the Department of Neurosurgery and provide neurocritical care at the University Hospital. Additionally, I serve as a general intensivist at a community hospital that specializes in regional cardiac and stroke care. I also deliver emergency medical care across three different hospital systems in San Antonio, Texas.
I completed my residencies in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine in 2005 and went on to finish my critical care fellowship at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. Following my fellowship, I practiced as a surgical intensivist for five years at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., where I was the ECMO director and practiced in all surgical specialty ICUs.
I have been honored with the title of Fellow by the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American College of Osteopathic Internists, and the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians.
