Dr. Joseph Salhab, DO is double board-certified physician in the field of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Nova Southeastern University-Larkin Hospital System in 2016 and completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Lake Eerie College of Osteopathic Medicine-Larkin Hospital System in 2019. During his training, he awarded Chief Resident of Internal Medicine and Chief Fellow of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Salhab is currently in his 6th year of practice, with expertise in treating both chronic and acute gastrointestinal disease. Currently, he is practicing gastrointestinal hospitalist medicine in Central Florida, and previously served as the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Chairman at his hospital.

Dr. Salhab's main research interest include colon cancer and the gut microbiome. His publications include "The Diagnostic Gap in Colorectal Cancer”, published in the Journal of Oncology Translational Research in 2017 and “Recognizing diagnostic gap in colorectal cancer”, published in Internal medicine in 2016.

Dr. Salhab currently has a social media following related to gastrointestinal health, where his videos have received over 100 million views and he currently has over 4 million active followers
