Learning Objectives:
- Upon completion of this program, participants will understand that the incidence of food allergy is increasing in the United States.
- Upon completing this program, participants will understand that many patients complain about problems with food or foods, but not all food sensitivity is a food allergy.
- Upon completion of this program, participants will understand that the diagnosis of food allergy depends on an appropriate history and a positive specific IgE test to the suspect food

John Frith, DO. board-certified Pediatric and Adult Allergy, Asthma and Immunology physician. After completing his osteopathic medical degree at Michigan State, he trained at Botsford Hospital for internal medicine while having the honor to be selected as Chief Hospital Resident. He completed his training in adult and pediatric allergy, asthma and immunology at Case Western Reserve-University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center publishing multiple articles in highly reputable allergy/immunology journals. His professional achievements have been recognized by the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology giving him Fellow status and currently is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine.
