Dr. Pierre is an equity-minded leader and advocate with over a decade of experience in higher education, strategic planning, student and academic affairs, learning and development, and program management. Known for her passion for creating inclusive environments, she has a proven record of leading initiatives that prioritize learning and development, enabling students and staff to reach their full potential.
As Executive Director, Dr. Pierre played a key role in cultivating a culture of belonging for diverse student bodies and staff. She spearheaded a college-wide initiative that promoted inclusivity, fostered community, and enhanced engagement. Her leadership empowered individuals to thrive in environments that embraced diversity and inclusion.
In previous roles, Dr. Pierre secured a $2.4 million National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to support underrepresented populations in higher education. She also established a regional center for racial healing and transformation and developed equitable policies and hiring practices that impacted thousands of employees. Her work advanced institutional goals by promoting equity and diversity across all levels.
A recognized thought leader, Dr. Pierre excels in building strategic partnerships and turning high-level goals into actionable programs. With expertise in community education, compliance, cultural competence, and executive decision-making, she continues to drive transformative change that empowers individuals and organizations to succeed.
A native Floridian, Dr. Pierre’s upbringing instilled in her a strong belief in the transformative power of education as a tool for both personal growth and community upliftment. Dr. Pierre earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Dillard University and a master’s degree in adult education and doctoral degree in higher education administration from Auburn University.
