Ania Janicka, DO

Ania Janicka, D.O. graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medical School in 2002. She trained in Internal Medicine and subsequently completed an endocrinology fellowship of Endocrinology at Winthrop University Hospital, Mineola, NY. Winthrop University Hospital achieved national rankings highlighting specialty programs that place among the top 50 in the country. She has completed a Preceptorship in Metabolic Bone disease with John P. Bilezikian, MD at Columbia University. Dr. Janicka has joined the Diabetes Care Center, serving Pinellas and Pasco County, Florida, for the last 17 years. To optimize her metabolism skills, Dr. Janicka completed certification in Obesity Medicine. She maintains triple board certification in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, and Obesity. Dr. Janicka is a core faculty member of the Endocrinology Fellowship at Diabetes Care Center and an associate professor of residency programs at Trinity Medical Center and Beyonette Point Medical Center. Bone disease is of special interest to her as "osteoporosis" runs in her family. Leaving in proximity to Tampa, over the last 17 years, she has had ample opportunities to share patients with Norman Parathyroid Center, which is now operating at The Hospital of Endocrine Surgeries. Dr. Janicka lives in Tarpon Springs with her husband and two daughters, who can verify that she full-heartedly believes in Osteopathic principles; Hippocrates' quote, "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food," is often recited in the household.
