This activity discusses the approaches to pain management and referral planning for patients with Substance Abuse Disorder.
Note: As of June 27, 2023, all DEA registered practitioners must complete a one-time eight-hour training requirement on the treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders. This lecture will count as one-hour toward the eight-hour requirement.
- Comply with new DEA requirement for 8-hours of CME directly related to Opioid and Substance Abuse Disorder.
- Be able to acquire and or improve approaches to pain management.
- Develop a referral plan for patients with Substance Abuse Disorder.
