Dr. Emmie Strassberg grew up in Chicago and earned a BA in Music (cello) from Knox College. She attended Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL, completed her OB/GYN residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, NY, and a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. She is double board-certified in OB/GYN and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

In 2017, Dr. Strassberg moved to the Shenandoah Valley, where she practiced at Shenandoah Valley Maternal-Fetal Medicine until July 2025. Starting October 2025, she will provide MFM telemedicine through OBTelecare, bringing expert maternal-fetal care to patients in regions that lack access. She also runs a telemedicine clinic for preconception counseling.
Dr. Strassberg serves on the Continuing Medical Education Committee for ACOOG and recently received the Distinguished Fellow Award. She is active in advocacy, participating in DO Day on the Hill and ACOG’s Congressional Leadership Conference, and serves on the ACOG OB/GYN PAC Committee.

Outside of work, she enjoys music, CrossFit, knitting, and spending time outdoors.
