• Identify the clinical signs and symptoms supporting the diagnosis of polymyalgia rheumatica and giant cell arteritis.
• Recognize the potential morbidity associated with untreated giant cell arteritis.
• Define the treatment options for polymyalgia rheumatica and giant cell arteritis including strengths and limitations of medication choices.
